Text Box: Introduction
This is the first flash report that will be issued every other month when the Villager is not published. The flash report’s purpose is to help keep residents informed on major issues of interest. Our goal is to be timely, to the point, interesting and cost efficient.

BHVA Declaration and Bylaws
Ron Shubert has produced revisions to both the Declaration and our Bylaws, which were based on the fine efforts of our declaration committee. It is critical for residents to understand the key changes and approve them. (We need a 2/3 majority of all residents to approve this) Here are the key dates:
Revised declaration and bylaws sent to BHVA residents in early June.
An informational meeting with Ron Shubert to discuss changes and address your questions:
Wednesday July 16 6:00 pm at the Community Center
Special BHVA meeting Saturday August 9, 2008 at 10:00am at the Lodge to approve the documents

Spyglass Hill Road Project
The project is progressing on schedule. Drainage and paving are the next phases to be completed.

Trash Compactor Fence
An eye appealing cedar fence with cyclone wire gate should be installed around the trash compactor by the 4th of July. This will be both beautiful and help muffle compactor noise.

Community Center
Thanks to the associations that contributed funds for flowers and shrubs. When you see Carolyn Hotchkiss, be sure to thank her for planting them to make our community center more beautiful!
The Community Center will not have a paid attendant position this summer. Please remember that children under 16 years of age need to be chaperoned.
The grill near the community center was removed due to safety concerns.

Water and Sewer
The meters continue to be installed.
Given the strong interest of some BHVA residents to better understand billing and meters, Art Smart will lead an informal committee to explore the key issues. Contact Art if you have input or want to participate.

Miscellaneous
BHVA is not responsible for lost or stolen items left on the beach, tennis courts, the community Center or other BHVA common areas.
The BHVA Board reserves the right to screen advertising material/information posted at or on the bulletin boards.

We hope you have a wonderful summer.

Art Smart
