Bob Pierce

Bob began coming to Bristol Harbour in the 80’s, to visit his brother, Dave, an early resident here. Later he and his wife, Rita, began keeping their sailboat here and renting condos each summer for a week or two. Then in 2007, as the extremely contagious Bristol H virus began taking over their lives, Bob and Rita bought the house that was then being used as the BHVA offices, 1 Spyglass Hill, popularly called the Mushroom House or the Tree House. Fixing it up has been fun. We came for the lake, but soon we fell in love with the trees, the quiet and, most of all, the wonderful people we’ve met here. Also, the small town sense of community. We’re living here about half time now, and in the Park Avenue area in Rochester the rest of the time. Bob is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Rochester, working with couples, individuals and groups. He also teaches at the University of Rochester. He’s written books and papers about psychotherapy and, more recently, has ventured into fiction and memoir writing. Although communication is a big part of what he does professionally, his work is mostly with couples and small groups. The communication job he has on the Board is something new--communication within a much larger group. He’s interested in whatever ideas you have about how to improve communication among ourselves and with the larger community in which we are living.

Bruce Hunt

Bruce and his wife Barbara are second time owners at Bristol Harbour. Back in the mid to late 90's they owned a condo in Building 4. Their two young children were very active back in Pittsford and time for Bristol was non existent so they sold their place with the dream of someday returning. Some 10 years later that dream came true and they bought a condo in Building 5 last year. "So much has happened here at Bristol during our 10 year absence" said Bruce, including a new beautiful club house and the 300% increase in property values! Bruce has spent the last 30 years maintaining and managing commercial properties for companies such as Eastman Kodak, Wegmans and The Cabot Group. Bruce is currently Director of Commercial Property Management with The Cabot Group and is responsible for the financial and physical management of over 4 million square feet of commercial property in the Greater Rochester Area. Bruce enjoys serving others, improving management processes and dissecting operating budgets. "Nothing is better than improving a process and saving money" says Hunt.Bruce also serves as Board VP for the Foundation For A Miracle, a group that raises money to assist local families that have loved ones suffering from disease called Friedreichs Ataxia.
